Clears Damp-Heat from the Intestines, Cools the Blood, Stops Bleeding, Invigorates the Blood, Alleviates Pain Damp heat in the Large Intestine presenting with swollen red hemorrhoids that may be accompanied by a burning or itchy sensation around the anus, rectal swelling and discomfort, piercing or burning rectal pain, slight bright red rectal bleeding, prolapse of the anus, abdominal distention, constipation or incomplete sensation following bowel movements, burning, malodorous loose stools, dark scanty urine, thirst. Tongue: red, yellow greasy or dry coat Pulse: rapid, slippery, wiry hemorrhoids, rectal prolapse, anal fissure, anal fistula, rectal bleeding, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis 4-6 pills, 3 x day. Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In acute or severe disorders, dosage may be increased to 6 pills every 2-4 hours, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used short-term for a few weeks.
